Okay... it's a weird combination, I'll admit it. It's also a decent definition of who I am at this point. I'm a clergywoman (dang liberal, btw... not that THAT has anything to do with knitting. I don't THINK it effects my gauge...) but in my down time, I knit. I finding knitting to be deeply spiritual and meditative. It also keeps my paws out of the cookie jar.
